[Fellowship/Residency]: 2026-2027 Fine Arts Work Center Fellowship in Provincetown.

 Twenty writers and visual artists were selected from more than 1,300 applicants for our fully funded, seven-month residency — valued at about $50,000 per artist.

For seven months beginning October 1, fellows will spend Provincetown's iconic off-season living and working in one of the nation's most enduring artist communities. Each fellow arrives to an apartment, a dedicated studio (for our visual artists), a $1,300 monthly stipend, and a $1,000 exit stipend, all essential to maintaining uninterrupted creative time.

Since our founding in 1968 by artists and writers like Robert Motherwell and Stanley Kunitz, FAWC has supported more than 1,100 emerging artists and writers — now named one of the world's top artist-founded and -led residencies by Artnet. Our Fellows have gone on to earn a Nobel Prize in Literature, five Pulitzer Prizes in fiction, six in poetry, four MacArthur Fellowships, five National Book Awards, and more.
