The Queer Mechanix of the Lands Currently Referred to as the U.S. & Canada Before & During the 54th Year of the Stonewall Era map also takes the form of a two-sided print that presents the map on one side and an archive of images, graphics, and printed matter from these auto repair shops on the other. The archive collage side of the print is a photolithography of a “cut and paste”photo-copy collage. Made in collaboration with Island Press (St. Louis), The Queer Mechanix print is accompanied by original “mixtape” cassette of reconfigured road trip anthems.

A short essay by art historian Jeannine Tang about the print can be accessed through this link.
